Unlike many sauna companies, we provide extensive information about our builds. I'm Mark Rytkonen, owner of Ryt Saunas. Raised in Toronto by Finnish immigrant parents, I'm deeply connected to the Finnish community and still fluent in the language. Why does it matter?
Well, Finland is the birthplace of the sauna! With over 3000 sauna sessions under my belt, I've explored dozens of saunas throughout my life. My passion led me to design a superior sauna, prioritizing authenticity and functionality. Our outdoor sauna stands out with features such as year-round use in cold climates, modularity, and unlimited water usage.
The key focus is on creating unmatched "löyly" – the essence of a true Finnish sauna experience. Drawing on extensive research and personal sauna use, I've crafted a design that excels in providing a perfect löyly, surpassing common sauna shortcomings in the market.
Defining the essence of sauna is challenging, as it encompasses relaxation, bathing, socializing, and health for the Finnish person. It's a multifaceted experience rather than a singular activity. We don’t have room in our shop to keep the demo units there so that is why they are at another location.
