Modular construction. R20 walls and R24 ceiling. Tested at -25°C. Designed by Mark Rytkonen. Finnish-Canadian, 3,000+ sauna sessions, twenty-plus years in the trades.
Every Ryt Sauna is built in our Pickering, Ontario workshop. Mark is personally involved in every build, not as a brand figurehead but as the person making the cuts. We don't import barrel saunas with our logo on the door.
Visit the shop any time. There's almost always a build underway you can walk through.
TRUE MODULAR DELIVERY
Seven pieces, two-hour assembly, no crane
A Ryt Sauna arrives as seven main pieces: base, four walls, the ceiling, and the roof, each finished inside and out. The widest piece is 8 inches at its widest cross-section, which fits through standard backyard gates.
Our team assembles in about two hours. No flat-pack, no hundred-page manual, no general contractor.
eSAFE-CERTIFIED ELECTRICAL OPTION
Skip the electrical headache entirely
We offer a fully installed and eSAFE-certified electrical package as an upgrade. Every component pre-mounted on the wall, inspected before it leaves the shop. Your electrician runs one feeder from your house panel. We're the only sauna company in North America we know of that offers this. And the only ones who can. A flat-pack kit doesn't have a finished wall to mount the enclosure on. Our pre-built panels do. Two simpler options also available if you'd rather use your own electrician.
THE 90°C GUARANTEE
90°C inside at minus 25 outside
Every Ryt Sauna we deliver and install is guaranteed to reach 90°C inside at -25°C outside. That is the full Finnish-spec temperature, in a Canadian February, on a right-sized heater.
If it does not, we collect it and refund you in full. It is a written guarantee, not a claim in an ad. Most competitors do not insulate, so most cannot promise it. See the full terms.
This is a real Ryt Saunas delivery, start to finish. Our team usually has a sauna assembled in about two hours on site. This one took just an hour and twenty minutes, helped by easy access to the backyard and it being one of our best-selling sizes.
The sauna market has a lot of products that look similar in photos. The differences show up in winter, in year three, and in the electrical inspection. Here's how a Ryt Sauna compares to what most companies sell.

MARK RYTKONEN, OWNER
Why a Finnish-Canadian builds saunas
I'm Mark Rytkonen. I was raised in Toronto by Finnish immigrant parents, and I'm still fluent in the language. Finland is the birthplace of sauna. Not the place that adopted it, the place that invented it. I grew up around them. By now I've done over 3,000 sessions of my own, in dozens of saunas, here and in Finland.
I spent twenty-plus years in the trades, doing siding and exterior aluminum work on homes. That background matters. A real outdoor sauna for Canadian winters is a building, not a piece of furniture. It needs to keep heat in, keep water out, and last decades, the same things a well-built house has to do.
The market is full of saunas that look the part and don't perform. Barrel saunas that won't stay hot in February. Kits that arrive in a hundred pieces. Heaters installed in rooms too poorly insulated to use them safely. I built Ryt Saunas to do this properly. Finnish design, Canadian build, every step done the right way the first time.
Fifteen questions covering what actually decides whether a sauna performs and lasts, each with the red flags to watch for and our own answer on the record.
Over seventy free pages on what actually makes a good sauna: the fifteen questions in real depth, the build features that should be in a great sauna, true stories, and conversations with competitors. Out September 1.
