FREE GUIDE · OUT SEPTEMBER 1
The ultimate guide to buying an outdoor sauna
What you need to know before spending $15,000+
Written by a Finnish-Canadian building saunas meant for the cold.
I wrote the fifteen questions to give buyers something to hold every sauna company to, including this one. It does the job, but it is short. There is a lot more I want in front of someone before they spend this kind of money.
So I am writing the long version. Over seventy pages on what actually makes a good sauna: much greater depth on all fifteen points, plus the build features that should be in a great sauna and usually are not. How a vapour barrier is actually sealed. Why the base decides more than the walls do. What a roof has to survive in this country.
It also has the parts a spec sheet cannot carry. True stories from twenty-plus years in the trades and three thousand sauna sessions. A few laughs. Honest analogies for the things that are hard to picture. Real questions customers have put to me, answered the way I answered them. And conversations with competitors, which tell you more than anything I could write about them myself.
There is a chapter on why we build the way we do. It is not a sales pitch. If you read it, go elsewhere, and buy the right thing, I will take that as a win.
It is free, and it comes out on September 1. Leave your email and it arrives that day.

Why we're writing it
The more you know, the better we look.
A buyer who understands vapour barriers, venting, and how a heater is sized does not need to be sold anything. They can see the difference between what we build and a flatbed of imported parts, and they can see it without me saying a word about anybody else. That is the whole reason this is free.
